About Us
Leading University Social Services Club 'The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity' Founded in 2009, the Leading University Social Services Club (LUSSC) is the university's first and largest student-led charitable organization. Our mission is to serve humanity and support those in need through various impactful initiatives. Over the years, LUSSC has organized numerous successful events, competitions, and fundraisers to make a meaningful impact.
At present, LUSSC operates through three main programs: 1. Alo School: Voluntary Educational Program: Alo offers free basic education to orphaned children who lack access to schooling. With two campuses in Sylhet (Raynogor and Baghbari), our volunteers teach academic subjects and life skills, including ICT workshops, drawing competitions, and more. 2. Hashi Project: This project aims to help underprivileged communities by providing essential resources. Haashi supports efforts such as rebuilding flood-affected homes, distributing winter clothes, covering medical expenses, and supplying tools to promote financial independence. 3. Blood Wing: As LUSSC’s largest initiative, the Blood Wing arranges blood and plasma donations daily, free of charge, by connecting donors with those in urgent need. The club also hosts blood awareness and vaccination events to engage the university community.
LUSSC continues to make a lasting impact on both the university and the local community.
About ALO School
Voluntary Educational Program is dedicated to providing free basic education to orphaned children who cannot access schooling. With two vibrant campuses in Sylhet, specifically in Raynogor and Baghbari, our passionate volunteers work tirelessly to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
In addition to core academic subjects, our curriculum is enriched with essential life skills, offering a variety of workshops in information and communication technology (ICT), creative activities like drawing competitions, and much more. This holistic approach not only fosters educational growth but also empowers these children with the skills they need to thrive in life.
About Hashi Project
This project aims to support and empower underprivileged communities by addressing both immediate needs and long-term development. Key initiatives include rebuilding flood-affected homes, distributing winter clothes, covering medical expenses, and providing tools for financial independence.
The project targets vulnerable groups impacted by poverty and natural disasters, offering both short-term relief and long-term empowerment.
Blood Donation & Vaccination Campaign
The Blood Donation & Vaccination Campaign focuses on saving lives and promoting community health. The blood donation drive aims to ensure a steady supply of safe blood for individuals in critical need, while the vaccination campaign targets preventable diseases to enhance community immunity. The campaigns engage healthy adults for blood donation and prioritize vulnerable populations for vaccination. Key activities include setting up accessible donation camps, organizing vaccination drives, and partnering with healthcare organizations. With proper logistics, including medical staff, equipment, and comfortable facilities, these initiatives can have a significant impact by addressing medical emergencies and preventing disease outbreaks. Success hinges on effective promotion, participant incentives, and follow-up care to ensure lasting community benefits.
